The Dwelling draws inspiration from a traditional South East Aboriginal winter dwellings of my family’s Wiradjuri ancestry. It is a collaboration with James Tylor (Kaurna Artist) which sought to inteprete a traditional dwelling into a modular design with contemporary materials and construction methods. The modular components allow for easy transportation and assembly on site at Springbank Island in Canberra. The structure is cut using CNC router and the cladding is a hardwood plywood.
